In a housing development it is not only the buildings that matter, but the layout of units, the shared areas, the relationship between the buildings and the site, and how the scheme will later be presented to buyers.
Layout and site development
We tested solutions against daylight, privacy, pedestrian and vehicle circulation and the use of the plot. Every layout decision translates directly into how many units are created and what their parameters are.
Unit functions
Apartment layouts were developed in relation to how they will be used and to how they will read on a unit fact sheet. A floor plan that reads well on a sales sheet is usually a floor plan that works well in use.
Documentation and coordination
Documentation ran in parallel with the discipline studies, keeping them consistent with one another and with the investment assumptions that had been agreed.
